Invasive neuromodulation will focus on lead placement, indications for paddle leads, IPG implantation, lead anchoring, etc.

RF lesioning will be demonstrated by expert national faculty giving practical tips on fluoroscopy, anatomical localization, and various options and indications of RF lesioning in different parts of the body.

USG guided block will be demonstrated jointly by national and international faculty to showcase common procedures and effective techniques.

This is an advanced DBS programming workshop only for those with prior programming experience. The aim is to help participants understand technicalities underlying different pacemakers.

Technical experts will discuss MICC and LFPs, followed by commentary on their clinical applicability. The workshop includes interactive discussions and real-time programming demonstrations of challenging clinical cases.

Topics include:

  • Advanced programming techniques – Illumina 3D and adaptive DBS
  • Discussion of MICC and LFPs

This workshop is designed for mid-level DBS surgeons and neurologists to develop efficient DBS surgery workflows.

Sessions include discussions on imaging techniques (QSM, DTI), surgical target planning (STN to medial forebrain bundle), and MER acquisition. Advanced topics include automated DBS, Asleep DBS, and related neurophysiology.

Topics include:

  • Imaging techniques – QSM, DTI, and others
  • Target planning for multiple targets using different surgical platforms
  • MER and Automated DBS using Prof. Bergman’s expertise
  • Asleep DBS and anaesthetic considerations
